Senior Nutrition Centers Update

(March 19, 2020)

In the wake of COVID-19, the Dancing Sky Area Agency on Aging would like to make seniors and their caregivers aware that senior nutrition sites (senior centers) are not “closing.” While there are no congregate meals, the sites, however, are transitioning to alternative ways of providing meals. Depending on the site, the options may be:

  • Curb-side pickup

  • To-go meals for Diners clubs

  • Frozen and shelf stable meals

  • Home delivered meals

Contact your local center to find out the options available to you.

Those sites with the home-delivered meals option will leave the meal at the door to minimize contact. Volunteers will knock on the door to let you know the meal has arrived.

For contact information on your local site, go to: Lutheran Social Services or Nutrition Services Inc.

If you need additional assistance, please contact the Senior Linkage Line at 800-333-2433.
