What will you be doing?
-
Working to expand the availability of services such as transportation, homemaker, caregiver support, and healthy aging programs.
-
Create and connect service provider networks to increase partnerships and collaborations.
-
Coordinate community conversations about aging service gaps and how to address them.
-
Provide technical assistance to service providers to locate and utilize sustainable funding streams.

Expand and implement evidence-based programs that allow older adults to maximize their health and wellness.
-
Provide community presentations and resources to increase knowledge of age-related topics.
-
Assist communities in expanding products and services to allow for greater independence and engagement as their residents age.

Advocate for physical infrastructure including housing, transportation, and public spaces that are accessible for all, including people with dementia.

Promote work force development and volunteer opportunities that are inclusive of older adults.

Increase public awareness of what it means to be a caregiver for an older adult and/or a person with a disability.

Assist communities in creating and sustaining a full range of caregiver supports and services.

Educate employers on the unique needs of caregivers in the workforce.
What skills are needed?
-
Minimum of an associate degree. Experience in the related field preferred.

Knowledge of current public policy issues related to senior services.
-
Sufficient internet connection is required.
-
Excellent customer service skill and interpersonal skills.
-
Strong time management and organizational skills.
-
Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance and criminal background check.

Strong understanding of the aging process and caregiver challenges.
-
Ability to take initiative and operate with sound judgement.
The service territory will include Clearwater, Mahnomen, Norman, and Polk Counties.
Hourly wage range $23.64 -27.42 plus benefits.
