| The
Land of the Dancing Sky Area Agency on Aging covers a 21 county service
area. This is a partnership between the Northwest Regional
Development Commission, the 5-county service area of Region 2 and the
West Central Area Agency on Aging.
An umbrella board meets quarterly to discuss and approve major items such as the area plan and dollar allocations, while the Advisory Councils and Joint Powers Board continue to meet on a monthly basis to make decisions which affect their local counties.
Where We Are Located Local offices are located in Warren, Park Rapids and Fergus Falls. The counties we serve are as follows: Becker, Beltrami, Clay, Clearwater, Douglas, Grant, Hubbard, Kittson, Lake of the Woods, Mahnomen, Marshall, Norman, Otter Tail, Pennington, Polk, Pope, Red Lake, Roseau, Stevens, Traverse, and Wilkin. Advisory Committees Three advisory committees make recommendations on policy and grants to the full Land of the Dancing Sky Area Agency on Aging Governing Board. Representatives from your county serve on this aging advisory committee and are listed below. Questions about programs and services can be directed to committee members as well as staff. If you are interested in serving on either advisory committee or becoming a volunteer in the health insurance assistance program please contact area staff for more information.
